Nigel Cox - UK

24 x 24 inches, Oil on Linen

The Seer

There is a tendency in contemporary figurative art towards sole figures lost in white or grey voids. This lends a mood of reverie, but could also be a reflection of the autism of the modern world. A vector to a corner is traditionally seen as a defect of composition, but the shadow in the square work is an example of how breaking the rules can produce a refreshingly edgy image.
